I have just moved with my companion Liz from West Devon on the banks of the River Tamar near Tavistock to Beer, roughlyequidistant between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth on the Jurassic Coast. Our nearest city is Exeter.

We still spend the spring and autumn on our newish yacht ‘Monabhar’, a Sadler 34, which is at present in the Ionian in northern Greece.

I am working on the second part of my memoir, from 1970 to the present day. The first part was published as ‘Bognor Boy’, from 1946 to 1970.
