Colin Ward: Life, Times and Thought

A new work about the life, times and thought of the social anarchist Colin Ward has been edited by Carl Levy and published by Lawrence and Wishart. It contains an essay by me called “Colin Ward: Sower of anarchist ideas”. In it I conclude “as long as freedom, autonomy, kindness and conviviality are considered important human values, Colin Ward will be ‘like a seed beneath the snow’ (to use one of his favourite phrases), ready to burst forth whenever there is a thaw in the bitter winter Western civilisation.”
